Well - got the old Yamaha MTX3 4 track out from the loft - an remembered why this old technology was such a pain in the arse. Too much Wow and flutter to record, drop outs & crackly headphone sockets, oh my. May be the dodgy old cassette in it, so ordered a new cassette on Amazon - so parked that for now, and returned to the BR1600 - ah, that's much better!!!! Did this one over the last few days, kinda grown on me, can't be dealing with that old stuff, drives you insane.

Thanks Groundy and Kenny for the listen and comments - appreciated as always. Kenny - yip I use the BR1600 almost exclusively. I sometimes use GarageBand on the mac, but not very often. The setup is quite settled now, Kemper into the BR1600 and Beta Monkey Loops for the drums. The Kemper is such a brilliant piece of technology, you can simple dial up any sound that you want. Didn't use any outboard effects on this - all in the Kemper - I do use some effects pedals into the Kemper every now and then (just like an amp - it behaves exactly like a miked up amp) - but not on this one. The Kemper does bass and guitar sounds on this, frettless bass, the lemon drop for the rythem guitars, and the MusicMan Luke for the lead - all DI'd straight into the BR1600. I've taken to recording guitars in stereo as the Kemper is stereo out, and it allow ping pong effects to give the sound more 'width'. The BR1600, I loop the drums and then add some reverb - and use for mixing and use the mastering patches (which I like) - that's about it! :-)
Cheers.

Yep - very nicely done Mr B! Those guitars sound great, wish I could come close to the kind of tones you get, let alone your wizarding fretboard skills! Fab listen fella

Beautiful piece my brother, powerfully empowering playing, if that makes any sense. There is such an uplifting, positive message sent through your playing...kinda like a bright new day. I dig brother and those tones are outta site!
Rock on!
