SE has a big heart, he saw my post last night https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=25148.0 and sent me a PM asking if i wanted his old bass guitar. I said yes.

So we met up this afternoon at rotten towers and had a jam. this is the result.

John played a wee riff on my Jasmine acoustic, whilst he played it i recorded drums and an arpeggio'd chord on the juno di to my br800. john then recorded the riff and then some lead. we then ran out of time together i had some words scribbled down. once john left i added some bass (it's an epiphone SG i think) then added some more juno di and then sang, then mixed the bugger. hope you like it John.

and John a big thanks for the bass, it's a belter and for the wee jam session.

A good song ORH and SE and.......a nice bass guitar! I think it's an Epiphone version of a Gibson EB3. With the rotary pot pickup selector, it's closer to the original than Gibson's own remakes. Good work guys!

Well that turned out great, started strumming, bit of Juno and some ORH magic, cracking wee tune, loved the jam.

was about to pull the trigger on a pair of m-audio av32 monitors for mastering and mixing purposes.

however i found these for £5 in a charity shop. thought hey? okay they are pink but what's to lose?

so first thing i have done with them is remix this song with SE from saturday, as a test to see how it compares to mix from headphones. there are no additions or retakes or anything, am using only stuff recorded at the weekend.
