I was pickin' on "In A Silent Way" on my dobro a while back and it didn't sound half bad. It started to make a lot of sense, actually. So I got ambitious and decided to try to tackle the whole song acoustically. Well, Miles' version is 20 minutes long, so I had to edit down what I wanted to do, especially since I am playing all of the parts here. This was a challenge, but a lot of fun to put together.

Hi BrettBob,

Unfortunately, SoundCloud doesn't offer a way to access the mp3 directly, so we can't add it to our festival jukebox linked only from SoundCloud, as it is. Can you please please attach an mp3 of the song to your post? Once we have an mp3, it can be added to the festival jukebox.

Thanks,
cuthbert

One of my favorite melodies. Love this from Zawinul although the Miles version sets the standard. My brother had a box set called The Last Days of the Fillmore, and I think the first time I heard this was from a Santana version from that album.

You do an absolutely stellar job. Makes me sad as hell we didn't hook up at Wanee this time around. Must make that happen next year.

Thanks, Blooby, yeah me too. Next year for sure - after my phone died I periodically shouted "Blooby" or "Bruce" at the 'Shroom stage just in case and received some fun looks from people in hammocks.

Thanks everyone, glad you dig it. This was a lot of fun, always learn a lot when I deconstruct a tune like this even if it isn't a total success.
