The new Micro BR DVD Video Tutorial Manual is now available for $29.95 US. Check it out here:

Should be just the thing for those of you who don't like reading manuals, or are having trouble understanding some of the Micro BR's more advanced features (v-tracks, drum programming, track editing, effects editing, mastering, etc). There's no sample clip up yet, but judging from the other BR videos they sell, I think this will be an excellent resource for Micro BR users.

Sample clips are now available from the ProAudioDVDs Micro BR DVD Tutorial Manual and they look pretty impressive:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9OnS8yG2Xs
Your First Recording
  • creating a new song
  • record types (HiFi, STD, LONG)
  • selecting the input
  • input cables
  • setting input sensitivity

Rhythm Section
  • creating a drum arrangement

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzZixGg1OCo
USB Functions
  • backup and restore
  • track export
  • track import

I think this video tutorial is really well done and every Micro BR user should get a copy. These sample clips total less than 13 minutes. The full DVD is 70 minutes long and covers much more. See the full table of contents here. Of course, the audio and video quality of the DVD will be much better than these compressed YouTube samples.

Many Micro BR users have expressed their desire for a "Micro BR for Dummies" book. I think that most users will find this DVD a lot more enjoyable and easier to comprehend than a boring old book. And the price is about the same as a book ($29.95 US).

Sweet! I love to hear that they dod one of those!
If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.

Good work on putting that together. I don't know how sales are going but I would def. buy one if the price point was around the $9.99 mark. For $30 + shipping etc. I am more inclined to reading forum posts and asking questions as they arise.

I just calculated it out and it comes to $40.90 shipped to my door. Way too steep! Perhaps you could do a promotion for users of this board and make the cost reasonable. Then again maybe your sales are doing well ... just a suggestion.

Huh?  ???  I didn't make this video! It's made by David Wills of ProAudioDVDs. He's a professional with decades of experience in the music/recording industry and has worked with many major artists. He knows what he's talking about. And he's been making these tutorial videos for about ten years.

I posted this here because I know that many Micro BR users are frustrated by the manual and have often asked if there's a "BR For Dummies"-type book available. I think the price of this video is quite reasonable. You'd pay just as much for a book, and I think most users will find this video to be a lot better than a book.

I've got a membership which allows me to view any of the videos online. I've watched all of the BR videos and I think they're all very well done. I wrote a full review of the BR-600 DVD here:

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=3227.msg31237#msg31237

I'd planned on doing full reviews of the other DVDs too but haven't got around to it yet. If there's anything specific you want to know about the Micro BR DVD, I'd be happy to answer your questions. Most of what I wrote in my BR-600 DVD review applies to the other BRs too, as the BR DVDs are all pretty similar (as are the BRs themselves).
