Hi Folks,

I have found a little time to finish this off over the past few days.  The opening riff may sound a little familiar but I am claiming that it is a standard 1-3-5 arpeggio and doesn't belong to anyone. Comments welcome.

The song is based on two chords only:  G and C repeated.  I was playing around with a new delay pedal and was trying to get a sound I liked out of my amp and this riff started to rock along, so I hit the record button on the BR800 and just repeated it for a few minutes.  The rest was built up around that. The arpeggio emerged when I was looking for a bass line.

If you are wondering, the lyrics are autobiographical but the truth has been bent for dramatic purposes.

I hope you like it.

It took me about a minute or so to warm up to this song but after that I was all in with this good toon! I especially like the vocal section when you move up an octave. Well done!

Excellent, toe-tapping stuff! It's got a bit of Nick Lowe/Rockpile about it to my ears. Brilliant use of only two chords... sometimes simple is best. Bravo!

The opening reminds me of a Violent Femmes song (Blister in the Sun) however your song is very different from theirs. If we didn't use chord sequences that have been used before, it would be almost impossible to come up with new riffs. Using the same chord structure hasnt done blues music any harm and most of those guys all sound very different!

Your song is great, with a really nice vocal.  8)
