i started this one as a two chorder on my looper pedal, but i couldn't get timing right on the loop. so i decided to play the two chords add nauseum, however before i recorded anything , i built a drum and fx loop about 10 seconds long, using 2 drum loop sample and 2 fx samples.

i then recorded the two chord riff on my jasmine electro acoustic but the rhythm track made me change how i played the two chords, i then added another guitar track mirroring the first guitar track but with an additional two different chords at the chorus.

i recorded all part so far to my microbr.

i then wrote and recorded a lyric, but had a sore throat and wasn't happy with the vocal

i then transferred the stereo loop track and the two mono guitar tracks to my br800 and added some more synth from my juno di. which threw in a few ghosts in the machine. my throat was a bit better than yesterday so i redid the vocals, my plan was to do a multitude of vocals but house is way too noisy and my voice is way too ragged, anyway this is this.

the evening light it cast long shadows
yellow  into red
the sun dips below horizon
but it still shines
do you believe
the stars a million million million
into eternity
the planets slowly slowly spinning
and Saturn's rings
do you believe
the sun it rises in the morning
the dew evaporates
a brand new day is dawning
and i believe
do you believe
etc
do you believe

The end result doesn't sound like there was any trouble at all - everything sounds fine! Great song, James.

The backer sounds so mellow and dynamic via headphones and the vocal interpretation is fantastic! Fine job, James!

I like the contrast between the vocal delivery and phrasing and the instrumental arrangement.

It glides and glides like a Eagle on high. Nice lyrics. Goodn' James!
