After my health scares last winter, i came down with a bad case of S.A.G. (Sell All Gear..opposite of G.A.S)
My wife, bless her, talked me out of it.

In '74, i bought my first really nice guitar, a new Guild D25M. I loved that thing..played it to death...but when i had a chance to join a blues band in '78, i traded it in on a '77 Tele. Regretted it ever since. Lo and behold i recently came across a mint, '78 Guild D25M identical to my old lost love. It still had the original hang tags, pick, and capo even  :o I bought it, had a pro set up done on it, and in two days, wrote my first tune with it.

Thanks for listening guys.

NOTHIN' I CAN DO, NOTHIN' I CAN SAY, EVER GONNA MAKE IT GO AWAY
KEEPS ON COMIN', JUST WON'T STOP
BREAK OUT THE WHISKEY AND DRINK EVERY DROP

GET IN THE CAR, DRIVE AWAY, LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY
SEEDS BEEN SOWN AND THE DAMAGE DONE
TURN THE PAGE IT'S TIME TO RUN

CHORUS: PUSH CAME TO SHOVE, THE HAWK AND THE DOVE
SHAKE THOSE DICE AND LET 'EM ROLL
RIGHT TURNED TO WRONG, HEARD THE HIGHWAY SONG
CALLIN' TO............MY GYPSY SOUL

INSTRO BREAK
CHORUS

CAN'T STAY HERE, CAN'T GO BACK,
TOMORROW CALLS FROM DOWN THE TRACK
SAY HELLO, SAY GOODBYE, HIT THE ROAD IT'S TIME TO FLY

Brilliant songwriting with this! Guild sounds like a dream - fits perfectly with your voice!

I've always admired the tone of your acoustic guitar - it has so clear and dynamic sound - like this entire recording!

Fine job, Pine!

This is superb! Such a pro sounding recording. A great song performed brilliantly well. As someone who grew up in the the best decade of all (the '70s), this sounds immediately familiar - it takes me back to the heady days of early Eagles, Jackson Browne & Poco. Loved it!

Now this is my kind of music Pine! A crisp acoustic guitar, a tasty Tele, and lots of cool vocals....that does it for me. Well done amigo!

You sure sound like you were made to play that old guitar. It sounds great and it fits your writing style. Your vocal is great, fits the style perfectly. Well done on a great tune. Looking forward to many new tunes on your new addition. :)

Thanks Alex..i think the old Guild and this old guy will get on well together..'least i hope so..

Kari...thanks for the kind words and support. I think you're right..it does pair better with my vocals than my Taylor.

Johnny...I'm not into nostalgia but i agree wholeheartedly about the 70's. So much more freedom then..in music and in lifestyles. I loved those bands you mentioned..and of course CSN and CSNY too. Really glad you liked the song.

Paul...Thanks...i guess it's fair to say..from one BR guy to another.. i would be totally lost without my BR1200! Still don't own or use any software. Technosaurus..that's me...

Hey Farrell ..thanks for the kind words and support. I haven't forgotten that it was you who basically launched me into the world of home recording twelve years ago. Forever in your debt buddy...you're a good soul.

Geir....you have been such a great source of support and encouragement always. Thank you!

Mike...it's weird but your comment kinda nails how i feel about the guitar. Maybe it brings out my youthful spirit. I could sure use as much of that as i can get these days....

Bruno...I love your confidence! My Mojo seems to come and go like the wind. Hope it sticks around. Of course, it won't if i don't make an effort to open a case everyday...

Thanks again guys for all the positive comments.
