Gibson les Paul Traditional 1960

I've got a great offer on a Gibson les Paul traditional 1960 (reissue). Description here:

The one I've been offered has never been used, but I think the model actually was discontinued in 2008. Back then the price was around $1800 (I think). I can get it for $1200. Someone having opinions about this model? Is the quality similar to let say a modern les Paul Traditional 2016 (price around $2300)?

Hi I just read this...I get frustrated with Gibson cos they keep adding and changing specs......
I would buy the trad at $1200 represzents good value ( also Ilove the classic 57 pups)
