You've got a really soulful groove going here. The dark lyrics paint a wondefully sleazy picture. It sort of reminds me a little of that blues album Neil Young did in the '80s (can't remember what it was called). Brilliant slice of bluesy R&B. Bravo!

Paul, i'll gladly take a Robert Cray comparison! I always thought he was a very "complete" artist.. sings and plays so well and makes it all look so terribly easy...which we all know it ain't!

Farrell...I just got a new pyrex slide and used it on my Tele here. I like the rounder, warmer tone better than my old st. steel slide.

John...Thanks mate! The "sleazy picture" is just what I was going for. I've never been to the UK, but i'll tell ya this...here in the states, nearly every big city has an "inner city" section where crime is rampant and there are indeed bars on all the windows and doors...and not just on commercial shops..but homes even! It's awful to see. So many poor but honest folks in those neighborhoods who are scared to even venture out at night. I would be too.
Gangs rule the night. The murder rates are beyond belief. I'll take my dirt roads and deep woods anyday!

Oh boy, that was so retro slick. I slid right into a pool hall,1986, some lame dude with a wife better & a white blazer with Don Johnson shoulder pads, pissing off the wrong bikers...not sure who I am in this scenario but it don't look good. Love that big ass ending, probably when I get hit...oh no...am I the lame dude?
