That is a shame. I'm glad he was around and that I was around at the same time. I wasn't aware that he had been classically trained. I guess I should have known, the string quartet in 'Yesterday' for example.

As they say, when you're dead, you're dead, George will live on in our memories, on the TV, radio, interweb and whatever medium comes along next.

I always thought that George Martin(well when I grew older )
that George Martin never really got the credit he deserved -The real intricate harmonies of the Beatles -the arrangements etc-
While the boys were unique -there had to a real musical genius behind them-
