Wow that's brilliant,I've got to say I struggle with the genre that is jazz but can appreciate the work that goes into it and can enjoy some lighter stuff.
There is no doubt your playing on this is outstanding and your full track is amazing.
Well done mate.

Thanks chaps. I'm glad you like the organ & drum solos especially - I sometimes feel a bit of a phoney when I try to make a midi'd part sound like it's live & spontaneous and I'm always a bit paranoid about whether I've pulled it off or not, so it's nice to get such positive feedback for those parts especially.

Quote from: bruno on March 03, 2016, 03:17:25 PMAm amazed that you got Geezer Butler to play bass on this :-)

Thanks Bruno... yeah, I love Geezer's bass playing & I think Sabbath did have quite a jazzy edge to them at times. Obviously a track like Planet Caravan has a strong jazz influence to it, but Bill Ward's drumming always had a jazzy feel to it, even on their heavier stuff IMHO.

Once again, thanks chaps :)

Your playing just slays me, but it's the production that strikes me on this one. It's so open yet still in your face. Great drum sound and I love some bass with a little hair on it. Ooh, that just didn't come out sounding right.

Nice job on the keys solo. Hard to make something on the piano roll sound so human, but you pulled it off and then some.

Kudos.

Fine playing here Johnny. All the pieces fit and the mix and production were right on.
Great jazz ride.
Shades of Robben Ford at times.....wish I could play like that!
Cool stuff here.

I saw Sabbath many, many moons ago - and they broke out and played a Jazz number in the middle. They were bloody good at it as well. I distinctly remember reading that Earth (the pre Sabbath band) did have a much Jazzier feel to them.
