...since many of you appreciated the tone of my guitar in "My Love" (and I'm very glad for this...)

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=24825.msg302424;topicseen#new

...I'd like introduce to you my new baby, the one on "My Love".

It's a Yamaha SA2200:

Yamaha SA2200 by Alfredo, on Flickr

It's essentially a jazz guitar in the Gibson 335-style, but according to many reviews (several videos available) it could be even considered someway better than the original.

I can only say that it sounds absolutely beautiful "per se", without the use of effects (in My Love I've just used the "Jazzy" preset of the BR800, nothing else); and that the SA2200 has the most comfortable fretboard I've ever played.

It was even a good deal; since it was a shop demo, I've bought it for 950 €, but its street price actually here in Italy is 1500 €.

It's all explained right here:

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=6

Please read that article and give it another try. Then, if you still can't get it to work, send me a PM and I'll guide you through it.

Of course, I could just fix it for you, but then you wouldn't learn how to do it. It's better that you learn how to do it yourself so you'll have no trouble adding images in future posts. But I'm happy to help you if you have any questions.

Woo! Damn fine looking geetar.

I've never really thought too much about Yamaha guitars - I have owned one of the early APX acoustics (still got it somewhere, I think) and I did like that. But I'd never really considered their electrics until the other week.

I was trying out my new amp at the Yamaha shop in London, and obviously I was surrounded by Yamaha guitars and not much else. So I grabbed one of the Pacificas. A purple/red thing (really pretty - I think it's called Root Beer), with a fixed bridge, a humbucker bridge pickup and a P90 neck pickup. It was GORGEOUS!!!

After we'd sorted the amp out I asked about the guitar, he said he could do it for me for £350. I was STUNNED. I checked it out online later and I reckon it was a tasty deal because we were buying the amp and cab (actually we got a better deal on that than advertised). It looks like what I used is on offer online for £495, but what a guitar it was.

Those SAs look really tasty too. Nice catch, Alfredo :)

That's a beauty.  I have three Yammies - an APX6 nylon electro classical, a steel string acoustic (my daughter's really) and a fairly rare MSG custom.  I'll post a piccy later.

Ohhhh, sessantaquattrochitarre, thank you very much!

Now, I've read that article, but there are still some things unclear, to me:

- first of all: is it possible to embed an image that is ONLY on my PC (...I mean NOT online, on a web site...)?

- if the answer is yes, great, but how?  :D

- if the answer is no, so it's mandatory to link an image on the web, then I get lost with the problem of the dimensions of the image...if the link is to a large image (as in my situation), I need to use the IMGLINK, right?

So, in my example, I should upload ON FLICKR also a smaller copy of the same image, and after that, use the imglink tool to both images?

Here is an interesting video about SA2200 vs Gibson 335:

Just go into Paint and use the resize option Alfredo.

Looks as good as it sounds and just right for the JazzFest!

Hi Alfredo,

I found Flickr has a nice feature that makes it easy to add images there to Songcrafters.

Click the Share button (the middle one on the bottom right group of buttons):

Then click on the BBCode link and copy the BBCode - you can paste that right into our message editor.

Hope it helps,
