Back again.
This time in the guise of The Sea Cadets with a friend (Gary) providing lyrics & lead vocals.
I've recorded this version with more than a passing nod to a certain UK  Alternative Scottish band from the early 80's.
Answers on a postcard as to who I'm aiming at ;)

Recorded using iPad GarageBand and mastered on a Boss Br800.
This time I used an iRig to record the guitar lines using GB amp sims.

Well I never heard the proclaimers sound so good....

I really like this, lovely lush full sound scape, the vocal fits just nicely in the mix, the octave works really well. Almost dark but not quite, it has a timeless quality about it.

I really do like this.

Your guess, as Roy Walker would say ... It's good, but it's not quite right 😉
I've got to say I'm loving the latest GarageBand update. Some really good new instruments & features.
I've just ordered an iRig HD too, so I'll be able to record more lush guitar.

Thanks for commenting Flash & glad you liked it. 😀

Very nice work - never knew Garage Band could work so well.  Voice fits the genre perfectly.

Yeah a big big sound, I'm also a garageband fan although it does have some limitations it has enough in it's make-up to satisfy all my needs. Good song.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
I'm really pleased with the way this song turned out & I think Gary did a Sterling job with the lyrics.

They're basically taken from our early teenage drinking years, when Gary would walk from his house, passing the local canning factory (misty peas reference) to the top our our (terraced) road. Here, I and some other friends would meet up with him, before embarking on our weekly alcohol pilgrimage. We'd stop at Gary's part-time employer (The Globe Hotel, a Berni Inn at the time), where he'd pick up his wages, before travelling on to our preferred watering hole (The Wenns).

If I'm disappointed at all, it's that no-one has guessed the Scottish Indie band that influenced the sound of the song.
Come on people ... Some of you Brits should get it.
