Hofner HIBB Ignition Violin Bass ?

Does anyone know much about the Hofner HIBB Ignition Violin Bass model? A Hofner bass has been on my wish list for a long time but the high price has kept it on the want list. This model goes for about $350 or $470 with a case included. I was just wondering if there were any bassists (or anyone) out there that would have some insight or opinion on this model.....where it's made, quality, sound etc.....
