still having lots of fun with the korg nanokey2.

was using the legacy cell standalone software, using a patch called vaporization pad.

i played some major chords whilst continually holding down the sustain button.

the music track was recorded live to my microbr via the stereo line in.

this is about take seven, cos every time i played and hit record , random harmonics would occur, real ghosts in the machine, that either worked, didn't work or just completely surprised me they where so unexpected, because i was playing the exact same chord progression every time.

i could probably do a live in the living room recording with vocals quite easily but i am sure the same thing would happen and i would end up with a completely different song.

anyway i'm gibbering now.

i think the obtuse lyrics reflect ghost in the machine thing going on. and i even got them wrong i fluffed the bloody title at the fade out. ::) ::)

can you predict the future
from all our past mistakes
can you pretend believe me
for the purpose of a song
i'll try and tell a story
i'll try to make some sense
perhaps an allegory
who knows where who knows when
beginning at the end
i'll keep you second guessing
there'll be no sleight of hand
cos i'll be in the dark with you
i've not kept to the plan
i tried to tell a story
i failed and made no sense
i started in the middle
beginning at the end

Hook

Woke up early this morning, well before sunrise, and started a fire on my back porch. It was in the low 50s, put on my jumper (sweater unless you bruno) and sat with my iPad and watched an episode of Spartucus. After being sufficiently assaulted with violence, gore and often disturbingly bloody sex I set my interests towards songcrafters.
After a few tunes, the sun is now well up and my fire reaches is smoldering end, I again am hypnotized this morning. If only responsibility didn't loom so quickly around the corner.
Rock on!

Oddly, I am in the middle of season II of Spartacus as well. This song would not work as a soundtrack to that show. Actually, this would work well with some slow-motion gore. I'll stop rambling now.

Very cool post. I floated away several times. I downloaded this one.
