Submission for World Peace Fest. I think it would be better just vocals and acoustic, but with my set up i can't really record it the way i want (I need a thingy that can plug into my imac to record vocals and acoustic at the same time, so 2 inputs and not one. Probably need that wee thing that sits on the hole of the acoustic to record it too that i saw people talking about on the forum here as well). So i did it with electric and then vocals recorded after that.

We left our homes
And families behind.
To escape the living hell,

We wonder what we'll find
At the journeys end
Our fate is in the hands of strangers

Mile after mile we keep on walking
Where we'll end up no one knows
There must be someone we can turn to

Someone like you
Someone like you

We don't understand

How all the wars began
We just lead a simple life

But now the fighting rages
And the bombs they fall
As all the world just watches on

Mile after mile we keep on walking
There must be somewhere we can go
There must be someone we can turn to

Someone like you
Someone like you

What will tomorrow bring?
How many more will die?
And Do you really care?

As you sit there
with everything you want
Our suffering won't go away

Mile after mile we keep on walking
There must be somewhere we can go
There must be someone we can turn to

Someone like you
Someone like you

Very good song, I like what you've done here but I can hear what your talking about in my head. I think it's the Irig pick up your talking about, very cool but a little bit of a hassel; for $50 it worth having!
Rock on!

Stunning job, Mike! Nice arrangement; simple intro and little by little comes more instruments in...it works fine!

Touching lyric and well sung! Enjoyable listening and nice entry for the fest! WOW!

Very cool Mike! The guitar lead solo and fills are excellent and I like the long delay you're using on the vocal.....reminds of PF's vocal effects. A good one for the Fest!

Great song, Mike.  I quite like the electric guitar, but acoustic would work great too.  If you get that sorted, I would be interested to hear an acoustic version as well.

Very nice tune, like the slow and patient build up, it comes at you in waves.

Very influential song. Good words. A tune and the way you sing it fits great to the message of the song.
