57 years ago -Buddy Holly-Big Bopper & Richie Valens died in a plane crash in Iowa.
Gosh I was only a kid back then

Tommy, I remember these songs and the terrible news of "the day the music died" vividly. I was just a youngster but I had an older teenage sister and Donna was her name. She cried when the news of the plane crash that killed others and her hero, Richie Valens, was broadcast.  Thanks for the memories and that is one cool cat medley!

...and  your song give me really want to do a cover of a song in french "hier encore , j'avais deux amis..." (only yesterday I had two friends..."

It s a french adaptation of "St James Infirmary"  but who  speaks about the tragic end of these two singers  of 50's

My father was a big Buddy Holly fan and this brought back memories of him playing his records on a Sunday.
My father also liked Roy Orbison and jim reeves.
All great singers I'm sure you'll agree.
Very good medley ,you've certainly stirred up a lot of memories with this.
