Granted I am not very bright but does it bug anyone else aside from me that all the presets are in 4/4 aside from the metronome?  I want to play something in 3/4, a waltz by any other name would smell so sweet, and am not up to creating my own pattern yet.

YES it bugs me too!!! Sometimes it really p****s me off. Come on, they make this excellent gadget and not one lousy 3/4 pattern...... I have a song that I've been working on for a while that has a change to 6/4 in the middle and .... well .... I found a solution eventually on that one ('tho it's not pretty) but others I still have no drums to.

So it isn't just me being a numpty not being able to find anything.  This makes me feel better but it makes me a little more annoyed at Boss/Roland.  I suppose they do it so we will all run out and buy one of their DR machines or something.

The only thing you can do with the drums to make them more flexible is to play around with the tempo.  I have doubled the tempo for a section before, or you can change the tempo to some other setting that is different, i don't know if you can trick it to feel like 3/4 though.

Not surprisingly I have nothing particularly useful to add, other than sweet waltzing Juliet mash-up!  Cool.

There is always the BR900 Rhythm Editor that's available free. You can write whatever patterns you like there and in what time you like. It takes a little while to get used to it but it works.
