Well, I was trying to get more familiar with the onboard mic. I hummed a few bars of an old Pilot tune and ended up recording a double track with a drum loop and my fake bass to get the hang of the dynamics of the mic. Oh, man.....

The result was a, I hate to say it, a COVER!! Not that a cover shouldn't be made, but I like to stay in my own world of dysfunction!  :-\

Lessons:

Turn down the PC speakers so nobody can hear the email coming in while recording...
When starting off, never, never, EVER hum a bubble gum tune!  ;D
Eat a bag of nails to stay in focus.
Watch the "Tommy Boy" scene where Chris Farley and David Spade won't change the channel on the car radio.  ;D You'll figure me out then...

Enjoy the weekend!!

Mark

Oh well ........

Bluesberry

Really great vocal performance for doing it the way you describe.  If you were to take the time to get a good take, and fill it out with other instruments, this would be killer.  You have a really great voice.  It sounds great all naked like this, it would really be great in a nice mix.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Aww, shucks, guys - Thanks! I was pretty sure this was 25 minutes I would never get back, and I'll have to admit it was single malt induced. Everyone's a pop star after a couple of totties  ;) Tony - kind of interested in what you were playing to this  :D

Haven't been able to get this tune out of my head since I was 5 or 6 when it was playing on the car AM radio ALL THE TIME! Might be cool to fill this out with some different beats and panned git.

Catch Y'all on the flip,

Mark

Single malts seem to help these things along.  Good thing I have my Micro-BR handy so I can remember those idea.
I just cant seem to do a serious falsetto, dont know why.
