There are some people who rail against the Song Remains the Same, but it is so inextricably linked with my youth, I can't help but love it.

I was going to mention Made in Japan (Chapperz beat me to it) along with The Allman's Live at Fillmore East.

Hmmm. I don't really know how much work went in the studio - but its a great album nether the less, still worth a listen :-)

Also - always preferred Rush's studio albums to their live albums. In the 70's, double live albums were a must, some were better than others, its fair to say! These have now been superseded by the DVD, perhaps the vinyl revival will bring back the double live album!!

Got to be Doors alive for me... that double album just lights up the Doors music ..... Just loved it ... I was into the studio albums but when I heard that it made me sense why their music has lasted to present day
