I've been attempting to record write and record a libertarian themed album. Here is a tongue in cheek, anti-war song that I wrote in November. This is pretty close to the final mix so please be critical (if you want.) The more input the better.

We make lots of money
when the whole world starts to fight
Selling guns and ammo
we sell all day and night
Republican or Democrat
it all pays the same
Billions in profits
as we play the murder game

Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on now

They say that Bush was evil
but we think he was great
He bought guns and ammo
at twice the going rate
But we aren't partisan
we like Obama, too
He buys drones and all the bombs
our sales are through the roof

Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on

Boeing and Lockheed
General Dynamics
BAE Systems
are all war fanatics
100 billion dollars
in arm sales
Just four companies
we are all going to hell

We pay the politicians
we own all of the news
We arm the insurgents
and all the people lose
Our stocks are on the rise
we are the profiteers
We bomb the middle east
as our freedom disappears

Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on now
Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on
Come and get the war on, get the war on now

Liked this a lot! Very energetic punk touch on this, that's close to my heart! Well arranged rhythm track as well! The simple solo at 1:15 works well and sound is just fantastic!

When the chorus started I got a strong Dead Kennedys vibe! Imagined Jello's voice on it :)

Well done, T.C!

Love it TC.  Especially keen on the dropped beats in the chorus sections.

Damn brother that sounds fantastic! I think the mix is perfect, and by far one of the tightest productions I've heard from you. Great song.
Rock on!

Hey TC, can't fault the mix at all, it sounds very balanced to me. I like the feel of this, the style / approach suits the message. Sounds great, a very strong song with cool lyrics too.

Holy crap, not what I expected at all............really cool strong song. Punky and fresh sounding.  I don't have any real comment on the mix, it sounds pretty damn good to me.  Maybe I would bring the bass up a bit, make it a bit more punchy sounding so that it pops out more..........thats all I would say.

I think you have nailed down the recording and mix T.C. A nice bit of post punk here. The guitars are crunchy but clear and the vocal is not overbearing yet stands out well in the mix of things. Perfect mix of instruments, vocals and lyric to get your message across!

Intro is classic Holidays In The Sun - ish.
Then we get going. Vocal style reminds me of someone, but can't remember who (how helpful am I ::)?)
Mix is fine & there's a double tracked vocal in there too, which works well.
