Hi all and a Happy New Year, Mrs Willie and myself have started with tremendous head and chest colds, not surprising given the weather but at least we're not flooded out like the poor unfortunates further up country. Because it's raining I took myself off to the studio (spare bedroom) and had a play. I'm a bit croaky so the vocals are even more iffy than normal but hey ho. It's a little bit dismal like the weather but I hope you enjoy.   Willie

When stars collide they make rainbows in the sky
When we collide we make teardrops that never dry
So hear it is, this is where we are
So close but further than the stars

Time goes by, it's a new age a new start
Take a breath, believe it's real and touch my heart
So hear it is, this is where we are
So close but further than the stars

You tell me it's all over
Just the timing was so wrong
Meet me in a thousand years
If your loves still strong

I do like this quite a lot. That lead tone at around 2mins is really sweet.
Rock on!

I really like the melody, especially the phrasing. It's very, very good to my ears. That guitar at 2:30 is just the perfect tone for this song. Excellent job all around.

Ah yes, this one is pretty special.  Great bit of songwriting.  I love the harmonies, and the melancholy feel of the melody.    The strong strummed acoustic is really effective, moves it along real nice.  This is a very good song and a very good performance.  and then the solo comes in..............thats the deal Willie...............you got a real winner on your hands with this one.

Pleasant and cruisy; I enjoyed listening. I particularly liked the lead guitar sound. I must learn how to get a tone like that.

Thanks.

A beauty Willie! I like the melancholy mood of it and as others have said, the chorus-y guitar solo sounds wonderful in both playing and tone. Nice work!
