Groundy

I got a call from my daughter yesterday The river Tay had burst it banks just around the corner from me, I am so lucky because I am so much Higher.
I drove to her house to find The River Tay to my left thundering along and the water to her house was rising by the second, I got my Daughter, Grand daughter and great grand daughter into my car just along the road, Then went back to put my grandsons 6 guitars on top of a High unit and left, within about 20 mins there was about a metre of stinking  water all over her Bungalow,
I have seen these pictures on TV news programmes , But to witness it live was so scary, This is her 2nd flood this month, The first only reached the top of her door step,
It seems to be the same throughout the UK...
At least her insurance company were on the ball, They put £1000 into her bank account straight away, Then she was booked into a suite at a Hotel just around the corner.....
I never realised before it not just the Water but the stench of sewage  you get with it....
What an end to her year....

Sorry to hear that, the most important thing is that everyone is safe. Hope life gets back to normal as soon as possible. Take care and stay safe.

Frightening how quickly the river rose. I'm glad she got out okay. Good luck with the aftermath.

Weather is more and more crazy, Alex.

We look on the TV what's happening now in the UK, while we here in Italy haven't seen a raindrop since a couple of months...with severe pollution consequences, car traffic forbidden, lowering heating mandatory and so on...

But I know for sure that when rain finally arrive, it will be FLOOD, not just rain...

All the best
Alfredo

Best wishes to you and your family Alex.
We have been pounded here in Ireland as well
Lucky enough we are on high ground
but the west, midlands and south of the country have severe flooding -rivers bursting their banks

Hang in there my friend -hopefully all will work out well=
