Hi folks,

Hopefully, I'll just scrape in to the 80s fest timeframe with this one.  It took me a while to find the time to do it and finish it off.

I hope you like it.  I experimented a fair bit with the synths and I used my new flanger on the electric guitar, which was really fun to play with.

BTW I got the lyrics of the interweb, so I have no idea if they are right :-)

Happy new year to all!!!

This is really fab, Ian! Your vocals are top-notch, and I really like the arrangement (the lead guitar in particular). Didn't think I'd remember the original song, but it all came back to me when I clicked that play button. :)

Well done, sir.

Nice job Ian. The flanger sounds great, especially that bit from 1:43 to 1:50. What model did you get?

Thanks guys.

The flanger is a Boss bf-2. I got a second hand one from a music exchange in Carlton. It is a japanese made version with black knobs. Apparently that is the better one?

It was part of an effects chain that also included a Boss compressor, a Vox distortion pedal, and a Boss delay - all straight into the BR800 - no amp. It sounds kind of swampy

I bet you do ;)

In the early 80's I was a big fan of Echo & The Bunnymen.
This is a worthy cover too.
Nice one & nice flange!

Hilary

These 80s covers really suit you Ian - nice one!

This was really nicely put together. It actually sounds like 60's pop. Will have to check out Echo & BM as I missed them the first time around. Cool tones.
