Hi all, hope you all had a great Christmas and Santa brought you all you wanted. Anyway, I don't normally play rock but I felt a Christmas thrash coming on and I couldn't resist it.  Hope you enjoy.    Willie

Sitting with the boys in the back room on a friday night
It went kinda quiet when she walked into the room
Looking for a light
She looked at me and I got to my feet
She smiled my way
And my heart missed a beat.

Hey cowboy won't you take me to town
And we can have some fun
Fire up the Mustang and let me see how fast she runs
Well I got the keys and I headed for the door
And when she smiled at me
I couldn't want for more.

Ooo that night was a trip to paradise
But it was her who took me for a ride.

Instrumental

Well I spent my money and I knew damn well
That she wouldn't stay
I flashed the cash love turned to ash
As she walked away
She said so long honey I know it aint fair
But you give me a call when you've replaced it all
Or you're a millionaire.

You sound good as a rocker Willie, and... well this isn't really "thrash"! haha
I always enjoy the rocker version of Willie myself!  ;)

I love the twist in this rocking love done me wrong song. That chromatic turnaround is a pretty cool lick and, I think, foreshadows the last verse nicely.
