It is a very poetic song .. and we can make a reading for the second degree: you should not be dazzled by the  lights of the big city and,  as says Geoges Brassens ( great french poetic singer ): " with my tree, I lived happy, I would never have to leave it of the eyes " (leave)

I make this bump for this song of Michel Rivard (Beau dommage, groupe québécoix des années 70) because I re-edited the video and remixed, remastered the cover

I think it's the most accomplished cover of the ones I did with a big work of orchestral cover by making the guitars, the bass with my instruments and the orchestral parts with a keyboard and soundfonts (Merlin orchestra) driven by a VSTi (SFZ) on reaper
in all 26 tracks mixed on Reaper! (I am far from the colossal work of Nigel /Ferryman with the 60 tracks of his production "la demoisell d'Ys")

Great covert, I know this song well being a french canadian ..
I've seen Beau Dommage a couple of times in concert.. and have a couple of their albums ..
This is one of the first song I learn on the guitar .. a lot of Michel Rivard's song are great to learn guitar .
