Hi all

In the spirit of my alternative period that I have been playing through with my friend Kai, I thought I'd give the song in my first ever post (99 names)  a touch of the freaky treatment, and record it again.

Again, there are no drums in this track apart from my six string.

It was really hard to keep in time without a drum beat. Apologies If there are any crappy bits on the lead.  :-[

Thank you all for being such a supportive forum.

As always your scholarly critique is sought after and very welcome.

Thanks Jim.

Just the reverb on the BR on all the guitar tracks.

There is an appagio maker on the Symph though.

Glad you liked it! ;D

Smooth !!! Like it a lot. great sounds and playing. Production is good, good balance between the instruments, personally I prefer not to use extreme panning, I usually double the guitar (or if I'm lazy copies the guitar to another track, about 20ms delayed) and pans them l/r 25 and keeps the lead instrument or voice centered. But hey, Beatles got away with extreme panning for years ... a matter of taste I guess!! 8)

Good work!!!

Oh well ........

Thanks Gier

We tried to keep the panning centred but the Weird symph noise did something funny to the rest of the sounds when they were combined in the same speaker (as well as giving us a headache!).

The wife hates the Symph! So Much so that there is a version with the symph and lead taken out! :-[

I will put this on the collaboration board, for anyone who fancies helping with a version which doesn't offend my fair lady's ears so much!  ;D

Your harmonizing and panning techniques are flawless. Thanks for the tips. We will definitely give them a go next time around!   8)

I Would love to hear different versions of this with the synth and lead.
Cant wait to see what you come up with .

I'm posting the Bass and Guitar (Panning Centered) version as we speak.

This is such a top forum. I Don't know of anywhere else where an E-community can collaborate like this!
