I never really lusted after a Gibbo - but having seen this ....
Research complete, well I played an Epi, and didn't think they were that great - so ordered a Vintage Lemon Drop from Amazon. Great reviews, but have not idea what I've ordered - I've never done this with a guitar before!!! Comes tomorrow hopefully. Will post once it comes.

Those Lemon Drops are lovely guitars. A couple of my students have had them & they really nail that Peter Green/Gary Moore sound. Did you go for the relic'd version or the nice shiny glossy look? Whatever you chose, it'll be a great guitar & there's nothing like a new instrument to get the creative juices flowing :) Looking forward to hearing it :)

Johnny. Nope went for the un-relic'd (new, shinny version). I don't really get the whole relic thing - but that's got me in trouble on here in the past  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D, so I'll keep quiet about that!

Listened to the comparison and they sounded pretty much the same to me. Just proves the point - you don't get 90% better sound by paying 90% more !

This is a really well put together review Johnny. Very impressed. I was thinking today to maybe even get one of these myself. Life is a hard slog and we all need a bit of cheering up every now and again. This is on my radar as spending loadsa money on a guitar is really out for me on 2 counts. 1. I don't have it! and 2. I am just a hobbyist player, never gigged and most likely never will so something like this is more than adequate I think.

Anyway whether I follow through with a purchase or not... just to say your video was very good!!
