Hi folks,

Its been a while since I posted a song. Work has been Hellish.

The eighties was my era. It was when I discovered the live music scene in Melbourne and this was before poker machines pushed live music out of the public venues.

I was a sheetmetalworker and Hunters and Collectors was the icon band for me and my mates.  They mostly played full on rock but Mark Seymour the singer, guitar player and songwriter had a soft side to him. He said in his autobiography that he found it to be slightly surreal watching 1,000 drunken tradesmen and factory workers singing along with "Throw your arms around me", although it does seem to be a song about a one night stand.

I hope you enjoy it.  I threw in some synths to help provide the eighties vibe.

Nice job! I don't know the song or the band but I like this.

Unfortunately, it doesn't qualify for 80s VarietyFest 2 which is covers of songs by Ultravox, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Thompson Twins, Echo & the Bunnymen, and Robert Palmer. Only those six artists are allowed.
