Oh wow, fragile and powerful.

Echo & the Bunnymen was a favourite band of mine in the early 80's, this is one of my favourite tracks of theirs. In fact Songs to Learn and Sing is probably in my top 20 albums list, maybe 50, but you know what I mean.

The songs on this album are all pretty yearning, lost, a bit nihilistic which is one of it's charms, it always puts me into a state of pleasant melancholy.

I knew, Hook, you'd treat it with care and consideration and you did. You brought out the essential qualities of this wonderful song, owned it and delivered it so well.

Red wine, Hook singing Echo & the Bunnymen, what could be better?
