Wow. This is fantastic. It has a really authentic, period vibe to it. Immaculate playing, singing and mixing. And that solo is outstanding.

Double rainbow all the way, lol.

Listened to this the other day - thought I'd commented - obviously not. This is fab, Gary is really quite some player - the solo's have it all - great vocals, great cover - super track.

Really a highly polished pro performance all round - would not be out of place at the Rory Gallagher Tribute Festival - excellent post!
ps: if you guys decide to dip back into Rory's catalogue again how about "Messin' with the Kid" ?
There is a beautiful symphony playing within us all..

Thanks Tony, Kari, Mike, Alex, Geir, ORH, Greeny, Hook, Bruno, Neil, and heg577 for the listening to and commenting on our Rory cover.

heg577 - I would love to attend the Rory Gallagher Tribute Festival....that would be a dream come true!. Messin' With The Kid is a good one. I'll put it on the list...thanks!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

sing?

When I first heard this I thought it was excellent both musically and rhythmically (it's hard to decide what's best) but I didn't like the title of the song.

I've listened to it more than once and this morning upon listening to the song again I thought the vocals as good as they are need to come down in the mix.

I'm unfamiliar with this style of guitar playing. Thanks.

Thanks Nick! Sometimes when a song gets converted from wav to mp3 and the compression takes place, the vocal tends to get pushed up a bit or the music gets pushed down. I'll give the wav file a re-listen. As for the song's title, you'll have to take that up with Rory Gallagher's ghost.  ;D

Hot damn boys this is incredible.  Its like Rory is alive again through your loving and very tasty cover.  Your vocal has some Rory in it for sure........and hot damn that guitar is the deal..........Rory...........is that you..........Rory........damn fine job.  I've almost got tears in my eyes from how good and faithful to a Rory vibe this is.  Really good bass line there too, just right.
