Hi all, hope you all had a good Halloween. I unfortunately have been struck down with a bad case of GAS and I'm now the proud owner of a mandoline. If I'd known how hard on the fingers it was I might have resisted the temptation. Anyway, I'm desperately trying to memorise chord shapes and work out how to get my fingers on that tiny neck. Here's the first effort, it can only get better.  Hope you enjoy (a bit).   Willie

Come on in Kick off your shoes
You aint got nothing to lose
Snuggle up tight
We're staying in tonight

Switch off TV turn off your phone
You heard me we're staying at home tonight
Is that alright
We're staying in tonight

I'm tired of trying to look cool
When I only look like a fool

Let's slow down give ourselves a chance
Even try a little romance
Does that sound alright
We're staying in tonight

Love the sound of your new mandolin Willie (especially the tremolo-picking bits), and how well it blends with your guitar. These little machines can be frustrating. I find myself playing partial chords on mine, more than the full chord equivalents - but I love how airy they sound.

Very nice Willie !! The mando sounds great !!

A tip on remembering the chords on a mando is to just flip the four deepest strings of a guitar chord.
