I'm even getting a little sick of myself...

...but I had 2 Halloween shows yesterday and I was using the Roland Handsonic 10 live for the first time and I just couldn't stop myself.

Yes it's the Boss RC-300 and its pretty cool. I managed to get through both gigs without trainwreks but it is a completely different beast than the RC20XL. I didn't have much time with it, out of the box at the gig. The timing is a bit different and its not set up like I thought it would be. All the inputs go to each loop, which id cool but not what I expected. When you loop and hit the play button the track is still in record mode so you have to hit it twice to stop recording, I also didn't expect that. So far I haven't figured out how to make the tracks different lengths, when I make my first loop on track one, the next tracks all are bound by #1's length, also not what I was expecting. I hope to have some time this week to play with it, I didn't even mess with the effects. Surprises aside, I'm pretty impressed with it, hopefully it wont disappoint. Since I bought it new, I can return it if I just don't like it but I really want to like it. & let's be honest...I'm not returning it!

I'm fascinated by these loopers.  I've never used one but it looks like a creative and different way to make music.  Why do we not hear more of them in songs posted here?

In my experience, Santa shows a strong preference towards children though, doesn't seem to be interested in old duffers like me.

You guys are just a bunch of gear whores!  You're proud of it too!  It doesn't matter whether you need it, or even if you can find a way to use it.  You've just got to have it.

At least you don't buy shoes to match your pedals .... or do you?  I don't know whether to laugh or hurl.
