Two takes; guitar played to a click-track and then the vocal - I have sang and played the song quite often live, so it was relatively a simple matter of recording it in two takes..

This is my all time Willie Nelson favourite song, so I'm am always a bit cautious of covers, but I have to say you have nailed it.

Ive done this song many times, but with a different pick pattern, I'm going to try/borrow, probably steal, your pattern, it really did fit very well to the song.
