Johnny Robbo

Hi one & all. Apologies for being a bit quiet lately. We had a short break last week - a trip over to the Lake District, where I used to live many moons ago.

Had some cracking weather & we stayed at our favourite Bed & Breakfast in Ambleside. This place is fantastic: personal jacuzzi in every room; indoor pool; sauna; snooker table in the lounge and (most importantly of all) a massive plate of bacon, eggs, sausages, mushrooms, hash browns & black pudding every morning. My arteries must be as hard as concrete after a week of that kind of breakfast :)

Anyhow, here's a few pics...

Got any biscuits?

As I said, a cracking time drinking good real ale & pounding up & down the lakeland fells with a copy of the Wainright guides. Need to do it more often :)

Lovely part of the country Johnny !

Before my Dad retired from the police in the late 80's me and Mrs C used to join my mum and dad on the police rambling club trips which were mainly in the Lake District - we had some fantastic walks up in the hills - beautiful scenery and fantastic little pubs to stop for a nice pint of real ale !  Only an hour's drive from where I live - should make the effort to go there more often.
