Does anyone use their distortion on their amps for recording? I tried linking mine into the machine but it sounds so quiet... :-\

Just curious...

check to see what your input is set at on the br....i use my amps rec out alot since the micros distortion effects arent thick enough for my tastes

Yeah, some amps do have REC out, mine doesn't~ What kind of amp do you want to hook up to the MBR, Trotter5?  You shouldn't use the guitar input whatever you do~ i'd go with the LINE Input, you could still use all the effects the MBR has to offer in addition to your amp~I like to use the Line 6 Pod xt for my guitar tone~ Especially for distortion~ The MBR has pretty decent cleans though....

I have a Line 6 Spider III 75 amp with a line out that goes into the BR.

The only problem is that doing this stops the sound coming out the amp and need to play through some head phones.

It's useful for getting the same distortion on your recording that you heard when you were working the tune out on the amp in the first place.

If you are using the BR effects as well as the amp distortion it gets a little complicated, and you need something to split the line out on the BR, into some headphones as well as into the amp. These double plug-in/Jack things are really cheap though and are availiable from any electronincs or music shop.

I've got a Marshall MG15DFX

It's got delay/flange/chorus/reverb built-in!!!!After having a close look I only seem to have an emulated line out hole and a headphone socket (along with the guitar input hole)

Is it possible to wire up these effects into recordings on the micro boss?

I think if you link the amp via the headphone socket to the line in of the BR it should work
don't forget to set your BR to Line in not guitar ;)
