Hi all,

Here is a recording that we made back in 2006 on a cassette recorder, then I ran it thru Audacity to adjust the volume a bit.
This is me 'singing' and playing guitar, now you can see why I leave the singing to Holdempok!
Well anyway this is an old traditional song, made popular by people such as Elvis, Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, etc.
Well I thought I'd give it a go with my own little version where I am trying to sing it the way that Bob Dylan would sing it, if he was trying to sing it like Johnny Cash would!
Is that perfectly clear? Good, because i think even I am a little confused now...LOL

Any way, here goes:

Nah LG, you sound good man! See, I personally think Bob Dylan is not too great of a singer and look how far he went~ I don't think I've heard this song, but I'm about ready to get into Dylan's stuff...so~ Man it's good to hear ya!! I'd definitely like to hear some more!!

Agree with Kody on this one !! And the neet thing with the MBR is that you can try over and over again without wearing out the tape 8) I know I've done my share of bad vocal takes on the BR and elsewhere but being able to take multiple takes, maybe mixing them together with some reverb to smooth out the ugly parts (which I do a lot) or picking the best part from several takes to make one decent one .....
I say go for it. It's a very supportive crowd here!!

I would also like some more!!

Ha Ha  Great to hear you!!.. I just posted I think a JOhnny cash song also in collabs. I've been everywhere. lOL  I have a train whistle why don't you redo this on me br and I will blow it.  Heck I can do one better . I live by the tracks and get a real train sound.  Love it. I think you sound FINE!!  You know I may have to do another waltz for you. If I remember right you like those. LOL

Greeny

You hold those long notes very well, LG - I think you underestimate your singing ability! I love this song - it's my favourite from Elvis' original Sun Studios recordings. I definitely think you should re-do this one on the BR. It's good to hear you singing, man... let's hear some more

Awesome!
You can hit the pitch man...
with style at that!
i have so much difficulty with pitch it discourages me from even trying to sing.
Great Job Man!

Wow! Thank you guys.
As soon as I get some time I plan to re-do some
of my posts with the MBR.
I appreciate the comments.

You sound better than Dylan, lg!!  Cool live jam feel - cool strummin!

So, lg, are you trying to impersonate Bob Dylan's impersonation of Johnny Cash? lol
