when the 1st post fest won. i thought i'm gonna do this one https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=813.0

that was about a month ago. i have toiled over this (tho it won't appear so). tonight i realised i couldn't replicate it like BB cos i don't have the guitar skills, a harmonica, the proper chords and i had to guesstimate some of the lyrics.

i intended to do this live in the living room, missing out the harmonica and guitar solos, just going for the lyrics strummed to my guesstimated lyrics.

i couldn't even manage that. despite getting the song down to 4 chords. so i recorded guitar first and then sang, so guitar track has the added ambience of my sinuses in the background.

it was a folly on my part to even try this, but BB i have given it my best shot and i hope you don't hate me for it, i put my heart into it

Holy shit man, I love this James..........it sounds so damn good, like it was meant to be like this.  My wife and son are listening, saying hey thats a great song.  I love what you have done, in your way.  I am full of joy.  Love the accent on this.  Thank you very much.

This is beautiful. It has a big, warm depth to it that seems impossible to achieve with just a guitar and voice.

A great song, and a heartfelt performance. 'Sometimes' that's all it takes :-)
