Buzzing on guitar tracks

Hi All,

When recording elec gtr without any distortion trrough the input on my BR get a buzzing noise on my tracks. Am I doing something  wrong with my settings??

Could be your guitar's wiring too~ try selecting a different pickup just to see~ I know my dad's Strat is very buzzy on just some pickups (Bridge, middle, neck), but some are absolutely quiet....

I find that this static sound happens when the guitar, or its leads are next to an electrical item like a lap top, mobile phone, T.V or even the BR's power supply.

It happens alot on my base guitar.

It also happens when the volume knob on the guitar is down to low(dont know why). Just turn it up and then turn input level on the BR down to compensate.

It could be the power source as well. Try working with the batteries to see if it is the same.

I also use the noise gate on the BR to quiten things down sometimes
