I've got a few projects in tier infancy on my Dp 24 but finding time at home is almost impossible. I have been working on this the last few days and finished it yesterday. All done in the car with the DP008 except the bass and guitar tracks done at the kitchen table. Drums are Garage band, the pedal steel is thumjam. The vocals were done my newish Sennheiser E 835 handheld condenser mic. Found it at a pawn shop for $40 and just had to have it.
1 uke
1 garageband drums (accidentally mono)
1 GB drums (stereo)
1 u bass
3 electric guitars
2 pedal steel
2 vocals

Which side is my side
so clearly compartmentalized
Once I had such room
that's now shrunk in size

Not just floors and walls
Not just my voice in the hall
Not just my lonely stare
On the stairs

Which side is my side
and which side should I hide
The confidence I once had
off with the tide

Loneliness is under rated

Wow nice one ,the vocals sound crystal clear so the mic is a winner.
I love that pedal steel sound and the backing vocals fit like a glove.
Bravo.

Wow - the vocals are so rich and clear. Great tune brother, keep 'em coming - really enjoyed this :-)

You'll have to show me where these shops are - I can never find a thing. Went into a charity shop today, and all that was there were half broken pots, granny coats that smell funny and a CD player from the 90's - nothing at all interesting, or good like a microphone :-)

The ThumbJam grabbed me on this one. It creates some great movement in the background. I have said it many times, but I just love how you sing over or behind the beat. The high harmony must have been a feat. You didn't injure your naughty bits during the recording of this I hope.

Keep up your G.A.S. as it helps the rest of rationalize any purchases we are considering.

We have to plan to get together again. Maybe Lurker can get you up here for a day in the coming months.

Peace, brother.

That mic is superb sounding, crystal clear, what a great vocal sound. Great song. Well done

Beautifully recorded, even if on the fly.  I feel I could walk into that soundscape.

Really like that song.

Ear-worm.
Overdrive - Distortion - Hyperactivity

A very full sound Hook. The thumbjam pedal steel adds a cool dimension to the song. Your vocals always sound good but the vox recording quality on this song has taken a step up. Is it the new condenser mic that is giving the vocals such presence?  Well done!

I guess?? I've been mixing on earbuds and cheap headphones and I wondered if the vocals were too prominent in the mix. The mastering presets on the DP008!really pulls the vocals up so try to mix them a bit low in anticipation of the mastering but the earbuds lie.
