The vox is a bit low in the mix but being a lazy sod I decided to leave it

 A bit "muddy" perhaps?
Try pulling down EQ around 250 to 350 a few db, add a few around 2000, and then put a compressor/limiter on the master to bring back the levels?
Well sung and played. This has a great groove.
