Welcome to the club Redler, the 1200 is really something, I love mine, three songs done and am working on my 4th since getting mine, and I love it more and more.  It is a full studio in a box for sure, nothing else is needed except for a guitar, singing voice and inspiration.  Of course I still use my microBR a lot also.  Lets have some of your music in this little BR-1200 section to keep Pinedog and myself company!!!

Thanks guys!

I agree with BB; it s a really versatile box. So many features more than in Micro BR, how to learn to use them. I haven't focused properly in certain functions, just browsed the manual and learning the basic recording. There seems to be plentiful mastering tool kit.

Today, I'll start to record my first song with it. I think I'll get to know vocal pitch and harmonies later in the future. The first one will be mostly acoustic song.

My friend, who is a drummer, became inspired about BR-1200. We planned record a couple songs in his garage soon. Has anybody of you recorded 'real' drums by it? He does own dynamic mics and a mixer, so I think recording isn't any problem...

See you later!

The first song has been recorded, mastered and it is already on the CD. It was more rehearsal.

On same time with BR-1200 I purchased a condenser mic and I'm not pleased with the final result of my guitar sound. I have no idea how an acoustic guitar should record. How far or close to the guitar and in which position? The sound was 'thin'. After all, I feel that at least the input volume was too low.

This is my mic:

In which position slide switch should be in singing/playing?

I like record songs that way: I sing and play guitar on same time, singing is more easy then. Now it came to my mind that next song I'll play in one track and sing on another one, because it is possible record two tracks on same time...
