I'm simply giddy with excitement. I picked this up through craigslist yesterday for $285. I was planning on shelling out the $400+tax for the DP24SD but luckily saw this before pulling that trigger. Hardly used by a DAW guy that got it as a gift. Seems to be in perfect working order. Not sure when I'm realistically going to get to use it much but it's so cool. Finally feels like I have a proper board.

Had a chance to start something the other night, pretty impressive unit. Extremely easy to use,I perused the manual and jumped right in. Not sure if it's the 24 bit vs the 16 bit I'm used to but the sound really does seem superior to what I've been getting. I'm not at all sure how long it's going to take me to finish something entirely on it, seeing as how I live in a 3 ring circus but I do hope to record something in the car tomorrow and then transfer the tracks and mix & master on the dp24. So maybe some thing posted soon.
One thing I've noticed that is different from any other unit is in the mastering effect. No pre-sets or auto mix like on my 008 and almost every other tracker. You have to set all the individual levels and eq yourself. I'm sure this will be an educational experience for me but due to the style and speed I like to record at I've always loved pre-sets. Regardless it's an amazing unit and I can't wait to really get to using it!!! I'll write a more comprehensive review a few songs in.
Rock on!
