another one for the let's all collaborate II (fest) https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=23882.0  not sure if it is a fest but i put up the festival icon for 64guitars attention so he can add it to the jukebox. just me and my £10 acoustic.

i hope i have't broken any rules but i switched around the order of the lyrics to suit the melody and i also used a couple of extra lines provided by hilary and redler that wasn't included in hook's final lyric.

Falling back through memories
I don't expect a soft landing
I'm staring at the tumbleweeds
remembering it all

screaming from the radio
A reminder of how simple it could be
just some levity
just say no no no

Was there a time before you and me?
Or is my head all messed up
and my subconscious making it up
I'm just fooling myself

the world can be a cruel cruel place
so don't expect a soft landing
or a smile on every face
before I stumble and fall

if life was fair we'd All be
the last man standing
we'd all be
losing the race

Looking forward to a soft landing
I woke up at 5 to the sound of a siren
Yeah,Yeah Yeah
How could trouble be so demanding

She looked at me and said
Your a piece of crystal Meth
nothing but trouble
eating inside my head

Hook

Well done brother, a fragility that hasnt been explored yet & i love it. No rules  to break, its not my lyric, its ours to do with as we see fit. I cut it where it worked for me and i wasnt sure if we were still taking it seriously but i love the way everyone has treated the lyrics. Braw...

Your voice sounds different in spots of this. The chameleon strikes again. Very tender rendering of this tune. I was getting some random popping early on in the recording. Don't know whose end it was one, but rather than be annoying, it gave it an "album crackle" for some analog authenticity.

This one is up there with "I Don't Know" for me.  Really nice post.

i'm not sure if it is headphone lead clicking on guitar. or something happened when i trimmed it in audacity. edited on laptop usually do that on pc with cool pro edit. will check original on microbr. to see if problem was on original recording. if original is ok will retrim on pc.

i had a listen and pops are on just the guitar track, is a combination of, headphone lead clicking off guitar, poor fingering and background noise. can't recall which mastering setting i used but it makes  noises sound like electrical clicks.

ODH

I'm just done with my version of the lyrics (hoping to post tonight or tomorrow) and I've deliberately not listened to any others until I'd finished.

This is just a lovely song, very nicely played and delicately sung.  Weird hearing the same words I've been wrangling with performed so differently.
