Kenneth sent me this tune, suggesting i use the lyric from the let's all colaborate II thread.

 https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=23882.0

despite the method of creating the lyric it seems to have a deep meaning in there somewhere  ;D.

i took the liberty of using a lyric i provided as the song title. kenneth is singing " you gotta go home" in the backing vox

Falling back through memories
I don't expect a soft landing
I'm staring at the tumbleweeds
remembering it all
before I stumble and fall

just some levity
A reminder of how simple it could be
Was there a time before you and me?
Or is my head all messed up and my subconscious making it up

the world can be a cruel cruel place
so don't expect a soft landing
or a smile on every face
if life was fair we'd All be the last man standing
we'd all be losing the race

I woke up at 5 to the sound of a siren
Looking forward to a soft landing
Yeah,Yeah Yeah       ( If it weren't for the Beatles Alfstone Wink)
How could trouble be so demanding
I'm just fooling myself

She looked at me and said
Your a piece of crystal
Meth nothing but trouble eating inside my head
furthering my fall
don't expect a soft landing

Outrageously rocking track my brothers. I have to agree about the kyric, much more meaningful than expected. Love that backer Kenneth, excellent production all around.

Super interpretation and use of the lyric - this is great. This simple little exercise is throwing up some tunes - keep 'em coming. I assume that you don't need to have collaborated in the lyrics to join in the fun???

Brilliant!! A killer tune again, Kenneth! and James sang really good vocal melodies! Can't believe that have written lyric to James (just one line tho...) ;D

Ken, did you use external effect devices on your guitar? It sounded too good to be a BR-80 effect patch...!

Those vocals of you yelling in the background are great. And I used them as a cue for when to start singing. So I am pleased you left then in Kenneth.

ODH

I'm just done with my version of the lyrics (hoping to post tonight or tomorrow) and I've deliberately not listened to any others until I'd finished.

This is just a lovely song, very nicely played and delicately sung.  Weird hearing the same words I've been wrangling with performed so differently.

edit - I was listening to James' acoustic version when I commented on the wrong track.  D'oh!  This is a different beast and I like this one too.  Love that guitar sound rolling around in the background.
