I love it when the fests I don't vote for prove to be the most inspiring. The boys and I put this together over the last few days in the car , except the u-bass. That needed to go through the pre amp.
1 baritone uke/vocal (stereo)
1 drums (garageband)
1 U-bass
1 harmonica (that 's really me)
1 pedal steel (thumbjam)

I cause The Tears
written & performed by Hook
When you said goodbye I didn't know
exactly what that meant
Forever was just a word
and I had never heard of permanent

Never was concerned whether it was real
Probably wouldn't recognize how a broken heart feels
I was always the heel
I cause the tears

When you said goodbye I didn't know
exactly what tomorrow would bring
But the pain and sorrow grew
so much bigger than you could ever know
And it still grows

I cause the tears
I've wasted so many years
when I drink too many beers
I cause the tears

well written song. You captured the feel , and the pedal steel sounds so cool. I know nothing about Country music, but I like this one (and the few i've heard at this site)
Nice job Hook.

Brother - you are on fire at the moment. Listened to this earlier. Super harp playing - great laid back feel on this. Late night music at its best.

Lovely stuff... great lyrics & superb C&W production values. That lonesome pedal steel is absolutely gorgeous!

Wow, that pedal steel was a great call. You did a great job of implementing it subtly. Great harp as well. Cracker of a track. Wonderful job with the arrangement on this.
