Help! I have G.A.S.

I know these threads are usually about items that have already been purchased, but this one is about temptation. I already own an MXR Auto Q, the Boss AW-3 Auto Wah, and I just (as in still in transit) got a crazy good deal on the EHX Q-Tron+, but then I saw this...

I know an envelope filter is an acquired taste, but I love them. Between Steve Kimock and Jerry Garcia, they are just the bomb-diggity. Most use them as "chucka-chucka" funk sounds, but I've always liked the low bark of the Mutron (not made any more, crazy expensive, and somewhat unreliable). In the acoustic duo with Lurker, I will often set up a loop, and then solo over it with the auto-wah.

I am just floored by the demo. The sounds at :33 and 2:12 make me want to whip out my credit card now, which is already screaming for mercy.

Am I nuts, or does that just sound friggin' fantastic?

Oh well ........

That sound at the .30 second mark is really spectacular. It reminds me of the solo in "what I am" by Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians. Personally I've always been partial to the envelope filter vs the wah but I'm a bit odd. Buy it right now.
Rock on!

It does sound damn good.  I love these kind of sounds.  It doesn't hurt that the guy plays like a mutherfacker.......it really sounds good with his jazzy runs all over the neck like he does.  I think that is what makes this pedal shine so good on this video.  You gotta play real fluid like this to make it work, wanking out with limited movement/lick selection would make a muddy mess of a sound.  You are real fluid with your solo excursions Blooby, so it would sound fantastic in your capable hands.  Fantastic jazzy sounds to my ears.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Blooby, that would be a unique sound to have on your pedal board. I like the variations I heard in the auto wah/filtering capabilities. Hey it's only money and you can always make a credit card payment for a few more months and eat Top Ramen noodles for the duration ;D

Thanks for the input.  I am going to wait for the Q-Tron plus and dinker with it for a while. I have a birthday in a few weeks, so it could provide just the rationalization I would need to pull the trigger on this other one. My other units currently don't have that low-end vowel sound I like so much.

Notice I never mentioned selling anything off.

As for Geir's comment, well played, my friend...  Well played indeed.
