Our warranty:  There is no warranty, expressed or
implied. We fully acknowledge our product is crap, and
your purchase signifies that you have entered into an
agreement to buy a product that is lacking in quality,
contains poor materials, and is worthy of much abuse
and destruction. We will in no way provide any
customer service, so don't even waste your time!!!

I'm sure there is some humour and irony in there although I've worked for some companies that had a similar ethos but sadly they weren't so honest about it!

Great piece of music.

Paul Chapman

its funny, but if you read on, the disclaimer doesn't apply to his touchstyle instruments. i get great customer service from Kevin. the instrument itself is very well made, but it doesn't have a "factory new" type of look. it's definitely a custom made instrument that was made by hand. it's very precision made. it feels fantastic. it feels almost identical to the Stick but the tone is different. the tuning is identical to the Stick so any Stick player would feel right at home on this. i used to own a Stick, but had to sell, and they are very expensive. a used Stick goes for about $2500. a brand new custom made Krappy Touchstyle costs $750. it's well worth the cost at either price, i just can't afford a Stick.

thank you for your compliments chapperz, bruno, & willie. i appreciate you all taking the time to listen and comment. i'm new to the site and look forward to spending some more time here.

Quote from: Willie on August 20, 2015, 04:55:22 AMGreat musicianship, afraid I'm another ignorant of the Touchstyle gear although I know about the Stick. This reminds me very much of some of Brian Eno's work and that's just great with me.  Willie

i'm a big fan of king crimson. most of the guys in crimson have crossed paths with eno. especially robert fripp

Really impressed all the way around, but what strikes me most is the production. It's quite busy in spots, but everything is so articulate. You must be an eq'ing ninja. The music is so hypnotically captivating as well. I immediately picked up my acoustic and was noodling all over it.

Loved it.

that's a wonderful response. if my music makes you pick up an instrument and start playing along, that's a huge compliment.

i'm a professional engineer/producer. all i do pretty much is make music. i haven't done my own music for about 15 years, but during that time i was constantly working on all kinds of styles of music. i don't adhere to a style, i just basically go with what i'm feeling and i have a wealth of tools and experience to shape things in fun and creative ways. eq'ing ninja... lol i'll have to remember that one. thing is, i have a very active and busy mind, so i go wild with parts, but the trick is to look at it like a puzzle and find the pieces that fit together. sure there's a lot of eq, but like a good cook, u have all your ingredients and you have to balance out using just enough of your spices to get the right flavor. it also helps to have the freshest ingredients and i do have very good gear and i know how to use it. so i get good sounds to start with. all the touchguitar was recorded through only a mic preamp/DI and digital converter. the strings on my instrument can't possibly get any closer to your ears than that...lol.

btw, when i do live drums and programmed drums together, i will often mic the whole kit for the main take, then i'll record some parts with only 1 room mic and then i cut up the part and make a live drumloop to blend into the sequenced drums and live drums. i'll put an envelope filter and delay on the live drum loop to give it a completely different sound. so in reality there's like 3 different drum parts, live, programmed, and live loop sample. i mean come on, it doesn't cost me anything extra to supersize this meal, right? lol

all in all, i'm really just having fun. that's the thing that i think shines through. i didn't really write a composition as much as i just sat down and played with all my legos until i built a spaceship or something...

thanks again for commenting

i don't think that's correct though
