Loved this. Great storytelling and your voice is really perfect for this type of sound and song.  Reminds me a bit of some Dylan albums from the seventies..New Morning or Planet Waves perhaps. The loose piano was particularly cool.

Hope we get that imaginary album sometime.

Wow Nelson I am so glad I found this one. That is truly a great song.
The lyrics and melody just fit so perfectly. I would almost be willing to bet it was one one of those songs that just came to you (my apologies if it wasn't). If not, you certianly make it seem effortless and from the heart.

I loved the video too. You must have really put some time into that. Fits the song perfectly.

Well looking back I see I have another inclination of this song from a few years back, that never saw the light of day but I believe the amount of time I spend parsing of each word, may lend to the seemingly, effortlessness.

The fact that my quasi musicianship and singing ability isn't distracting from the song is a welcomed sign of progress.

Wow this is so good,there's a guy I heard called Joe pug and his vocal reminds me of yours.
This is a well structured song and not only does it capture your ears musically,it draws you into the story.
There are songs that come on to this site that capture me in this way from the opening notes and this is one of them.
A brilliant piece of songcrafting.

Though I'll probably never become a great musician I've convinced myself to work hard enough on the music, so that if I ever hook up with real musicians they can feel exactly what I'm going for.

Dud what a good song, you tell a story in a way that is so captivating. I always love your tunes but this is really top shelf, maybe the best of the best. The upbeat feel of it works well and gives me  slightly different Mister Nelson & I dig it. You have a fan here my brother!

I heard someone once say, amateur musicians usually create slower music and that's so true for me, so I'm trying to up the tempo some.
