RIP George Cole

One of my favourite actors, George Cole, who played Arthur Daley in the Minder and Flash Harry in the original St Trinians films has died. I enjoyed his work, I saw him live in London in a few productions and I'm sad to hear of his passing.

My nickname here is related, my dad always called me Flash after Flash Harry.

RIP George. Thanks for entertaining an delighting me over the years.

One of mine too. I often watch repeats of Minder, fantastic stuff and I never tire of it. Great chap, very funny with oh so perfect timing. I shall miss him, there will never be one like him again. Thanks George, you live on forever.

I was often referred to as an Authur Daley type character round my manor and still am. Great.

Aw, poo.

A fine, fine actor.
My favourite film of George's is the 1950s black-comedy The Green Man, which features George's real-life mentor Alaistair Sim, and a host of staple Brit actors from that era, including Jill Adams (a childhood crush for SteveB).
They simply don't make these small Brit movies anymore. Shame. $:-\$
